Michal Fichtner graduated from an electrical engineering high school, majoring in programming. He has been working at Continental since 2003, when he started as a circuit board technician. His career led through maintenance into engineering, where he built equipment for testing printed circuit boards. Subsequently, his professional steps moved towards the management of the test-engineering group for PCB testing, comprehensive management from PCB testing to the final product and its packaging, including maintenance, up to IT leadership positions (IT MES Manager, establishment of the BI group and its management). From 2020, he becomes the Head of the Digital Factory project at the Branýds plant, which has become a model plant for Digitalization Continental globally. He works with his team to fulfill the vision of a fully digital production plant and is a strong supporter of a holistic view of digitization, unity and comprehensive use of data and connection between systems.
His hobbies include IoT, smart devices, smart home, programming, skiing and cycling.
